Project management

Project management services for direct clients who would like an agency-style approach with the familiarity of a translator as well as for translation agencies who need an extra set of hands.

More than just a freelance translator.

  • Experienced professionalism

Over a decade in the industry and many years managing translation workflows with consistent quality output.

  • Two perspectives

With experience working as both a project manager and a freelance translator, I know what it’s like to be on both sides of the process.

  • Expanded reach

More languages means more reach. I work with translators in all the world’s major working languages.

  • One point of contact

I’ll be your main point of contact for all languages. No need to worry whether you’re hiring the right translator for a language, I take care of it all.

Don’t just take my word for it.

Frequently asked questions

  • Translation costings are largely dependent on document length, subject matter, urgency, and language. I’ll quote a total price for every project, which I’ll break down per language. If you’re working towards a budget, please let me know.

  • For direct clients, my project management fees are baked into the total translation price (see How much do translations cost? above).

For agencies, I work on a retainer or day rate model.

  • Generally, translators can work through about 1500-2000 words per day when working full-time. I also like to build in some extra time for questions, changes, and time to review translations with a fresh pair of eyes. Extra steps, such as editing and proofreading, also add additional days to the turnaround time.

  • The rule of thumb is that if a document is meant to go out to the public, you should always have a second pair of eyes to go over it. The same is true in translation. If your document requires it, I’ll quote for translation as well as editing.

  • I whitelabel my services for translation agencies. If you are looking for a spare pair of hands to take on extra project management work, you can give me access to your systems (email, Dropbox, vendor lists, etc.) and I’ll act as a full-time member of staff on your behalf.

Alternatively, you can also outsource full jobs to me. I’ll handle everything externally and provide the same high-quality translations I provide to my direct clients.

  • Just like any agency would! I prioritize and delegate based on what each project and client need. I wouldn’t be doing my job as a PM if I didn’t!
